Guidelines For Abstract Submission

Important instructions, eligibility criteria, categories, and formatting rules for presenting your research work at OSASICON 2026.

1 Eligibility

  • • Abstract submission is open to medical professionals, postgraduate trainees (Proof of residency from Head of the Department must be attached along with the abstract), fellows, faculty members and researchers in surgery and allied specialties.
  • • Postgraduate trainees are encouraged to submit original research, audits, case series, unusual case reports and innovative surgical techniques.
  • • The presenting author must be a registered delegate of the conference. For registration, please visit Conference Registration .
  • • The presenting author must be a Life Member / Associate Member of ASI.
  • • Each participant may be the presenting author of a maximum of two presentations.
  • • The presenting author must be available during the designated presentation session.

2 Categories of Abstracts

  • • Original Research / Clinical Study
  • • Prospective or Retrospective Study
  • • Systematic Review / Meta-analysis
  • • Case Series
  • • Interesting / Unusual Case Report
  • • Innovative Surgical Technique
  • • Surgical Video / Technical Innovation (if separately permitted)
  • • Audit / Quality Improvement Study
  • • Experimental / Laboratory Research

3 Abstract Format

  • • Prepare the abstract in Word format using Times New Roman letters.
  • • Title in ALL CAPITALS; text in single spacing, font size 12 for both.
  • • The abstract should contain less than 300 words.
  • • It must include Aims & Objectives, Methods, Results & Conclusion.
  • • Comments such as "Results will be discussed" will not be accepted.

4 Submission Rules

  • • Abstracts must be submitted to the email address – asiodishasbp@gmail.com
  • • Abstracts submitted by other email, WhatsApp, post or other unofficial means will not be considered unless specifically announced.
  • • The abstract must be submitted in English.
  • • The submitting author is responsible for the accuracy of author names, affiliations, contact details and study data.
  • • After the submission deadline, modifications are permitted only with approval of the Scientific Committee.
  • • Changes in authorship after submission require approval of the Scientific Committee and, where applicable, all affected authors.
  • • Duplicate submissions of the same work under different titles will not be accepted.
  • • Proof of registration in the conference must be attached along with the abstract.
  • • Last Date for Submission: 24.10.2026, 5:00 PM
  • • No abstract will be accepted after the final submission deadline except at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
  • • The decision of the Scientific Committee shall be final and binding.
